It’s just after 10pm. The dust has settled for the day; the moon is high in the sky; and I can finally exhale and pick up my markers. I am a wife, a mom of two, and I work full-time outside my home. Sometimes my stress level can get a little high. On the advice of a friend, I started coloring to release tension. I find when I’m being creative that the tension flows away and allows me to relax.
These days I’m coloring stamped images to incorporate into cards. Most times, I am making cards for family and friends, but sometimes I do it just for fun. This month is busy with occasions, so there are a lot of people on my mailing list.
My first card is for my (much) younger cousin, who is graduating from high school. I’m glad I was able to put a little bit of myself into creating a card to say “Happy Graduation!” even though I wasn’t able to be there to congratulate her in person.
