Birthday Girly

Standard

Today we celebrated our little friend’s 6th birthday.  Gracie is an adorable little girl with the most sparkly blue eyes and a very sweet, very girly personality, so I knew I wanted to make a very sparkly, very girly card to wish her the best of birthdays.

I have to admit, I started with a stamp that my 11-year-old daughter sweet talked me into.  It was cute enough, but not something that I would have purchased unless I had specific use for it.  It’s been sitting since my daughter tried it out the night we brought it home, but I dug into my stores and pulled it out because I thought it would work nicely for this occasion.  And I ended up loving this card!  Sometimes daughters do know best.  Go figure.

This was also the first time I’ve worked with Wink of Stella, and now I’m going to make excuses to use sparkles! I love the subtle effect.

I normally wouldn’t post an unfinished project, but I want to show how great the Wink of Stella looks up close. I tried Clear (Seahorse), Gold (Tiara) and Silver (Tail) on this image and think they worked perfectly.
