I’m still enjoying playing with the Birthday Bash set from Verve.  Here’s some soft colors in a super simple layout that would be appropriate to wish just about anyone a happy birthday.

Congratulations Are in Order

A little birdie told me that her family is growing and I am tickled pink (or blue!) for all of them.  I’m sworn to secrecy for now, but that couldn’t stop me from creating a special card in anticipation of the blessed arrival.  In fact, I created two- one pink, one blue

There are lots of great stamps available, but this Happy Hoppers stamp from Stampendous popped right into my head.  Bunny Luv is a very simple image, but it projects such emotion.  Can’t you just feel the love?  I put together a very clean layout to keep all the attention on the wonderful bunnies.

Make a Wish

Standard

I was so excited to receive my order from Verve Stamps this week and although I didn’t have a specific project in mind, I just couldn’t wait to use them!  These stamps have such a simplicity to them, so I wanted to keep the layout super clean, but keep the card interesting.  It all fell together with a small print all over background and simple shapes.

Birthday Cupcakes

Standard

June was a busy month for card making!  I put together this card a week or so ago, but couldn’t fit it in for posting.  Since the occasions have slowed down a bit, I finally get to share it.  This card was noteworthy for me for a couple reasons: this was the first time I’ve paired a partial fussy cut with a die cut and I’m pretty sure this is the most Copic colors I’ve ever used on a single project.  I love this stamp from CC Designs and had a lot of fun with this card.

Congratulations Graduation

Standard

Another graduation! I’ve been pretty lucky to celebrate a few graduations this season.  It’s been a lot of fun to put together a few different card variations of the same theme.  I made this card for a fine young man who I’m glad to call a friend.

I put this card together with the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge #197 “Congratulations” in mind, so I broke out the Graduate stamp and went to work.  I decided to go with the traditional black gown to keep it on the masculine side. I gave it a modified tri-fold and used a fancy die cut to make the red, white and black palette a little more interesting.

Hello world!

Standard

It’s just after 10pm.  The dust has settled for the day; the moon is high in the sky; and I can finally exhale and pick up my markers.  I am a wife, a mom of two, and I work full-time outside my home.  Sometimes my stress level can get a little high.  On the advice of a friend, I started coloring to release tension.  I find when I’m being creative that the tension flows away and allows me to relax.

These days I’m coloring stamped images to incorporate into cards.  Most times, I am making cards for family and friends, but sometimes I do it just for fun.  This month is busy with occasions, so there are a lot of people on my mailing list.

My first card is for my (much) younger cousin, who is graduating from high school.  I’m glad I was able to put a little bit of myself into creating a card to say “Happy Graduation!” even though I wasn’t able to be there to congratulate her in person.
