Cupcake Inspirations threw me for a loop again this week with a Navy Blue/Gold/White challenge. These are all colors that I would normally work with, but I was struggling with how to use them all together as the emphasis, so much so that I almost scrapped the challenge altogether. Then I received my new stamp set from Darkroom Door and the idea for this card was born. The sentiment of “Faith…Hope…Love” was so perfect, but didn’t lend itself to a colored image as the focal point, so this project is a bit different from what I would normally create. I had a very specific layout in mind and I couldn’t find exactly what I had pictured in my head, so I ended up hand-cutting the gold anchor. Even though this card was a bit out of my comfort zone, I am super happy with the results.
